The 2026 season has come to a close for the Utah Wild. The Wild played their last game of the season against the Colorado Alpenglow on May 30. The championships-bound Alpenglow were a tough opponent as expected and Utah was dealt a final loss this season.
The Alpenglow opened the scoring with a quick point early in play – maintaining a lead over the Wild for the entirety of the match. However, Utah did best Colorado in total number of completions with 273 in this game.
While this loss means the Wild end the season without a single win, there was still a lot to be excited about in this match and this season! During the 2026 season, Wild fans were treated to a majority-rookie team learning and developing together – and getting to see some of these players return with a season of experience will certainly be a treat.

The Wild earned their first point of the match when the score was 2-0. This point started early in the first quarter with a pull from Colorado before the disc was picked up by Anna McClurkan and then passed to Bell, who found Serena Hochmuth in the middle. Hochmuth moved the disc to Casstique Williams, who threw it far upfield to Ellie Finigan, who wasn’t quite in the end zone. Another quick pass from Finigan to McClurkan would tally the first goal for the Wild.
Team leaders in this match included Williams, with 2 goals and 228 receiving yards, and Lily Terpstra, who led the team defensively with 2 blocks in just one defensive point played.
Eva Bell put up a strong performance in this match, recording four assists and 401 throwing yards. Bell has also just recently been announced as a Breakout Player of the Year Finalist (checkout all the finalists here)!
However, the Wild struggled to find offensive momentum against Colorado's persistent pressure, ultimately falling 25-10.
