Keep Livestreams Free for 2023!

Updated: Dec 13, 2022

In the spirit of accessibility and visibility for women and non-binary athletes, all WUL games since its inception have been streamed for free on YouTube thanks, in part, to public funding. Help keep these live streams free for all in 2023 by supporting our broadcast fund at www.gofundme.com/f/help-keep-wul-livestreams-free.

Together, we provide accessibility, opportunity, and visibility for women’s ultimate players across the western United States.

Join us and set the next great play in motion! 100% of funds go directly to providing free live stream services for the 2023 WUL season, including our brand new team, the Colorado Alpenglow!

Our inaugural season in 2022 was a resounding success, and the WUL is gearing up for an even bigger, better, and more exciting 2023 season! With the addition of an 8th team and rising costs across the board, securing funding to keep our live streams FREE and accessible to anyone is crucial to continuing our mission.

Historically, women’s sports have been underfunded and under-exposed. The Western Ultimate League is here to build a decades-durable infrastructure that pays athletes, coaches, and support staff what they are worth. But right now, we’re building from the ground up. In the next few years, we have the opportunity to prove the value of our product so that we can go from just getting by, to creating a new paradigm within the sports entertainment world.

Hear from 2023 Utah Wild professional athletes on how having accessible live-streaming support from the WUL has impacted them and their communities!

You can catch every one of the 25 games (21 regular season & 4 post-season games) played in our 2022 season for free on our YouTube channel. We committed to making the game accessible and the results speak for themselves. We had an incredible 105,000+ views over the course of our inaugural season, totaling over 32,000+ hours of WUL ultimate enjoyed by fans.

In our first season, multiple athletes were highlighted on SportsCenter , something that was unlikely for them as elite amateurs. With this newfound platform to share their passions, our players stood up for other marginalized communities and social initiatives as well, including allowing trans kids to play sports, and running youth camps to broaden our reach to underserved communities and promote more diversity within our sport.

Livestreaming has the power to expand the viewership of an event attended by hundreds into the millions, to connect to people globally, and to reach audiences of unprecedented scale. With social media channels prioritizing live video over pre-recorded videos, it is more important than ever that we continue to live stream our league games.

Every single dollar helps. Thanks for helping us keep our live streams free in 2023!
